What counts as a decision
A decision is one answer from Throtl to "can this agent do this, for this user, right now?". Each throttle.can() or POST /v1/decide that gets an answer counts once. Recording what the human did afterwards (approved, edited, undone) is free.

Questions
Do I need a card to start?
No. Free needs a Google sign-in and nothing else.
What happens if I go over 100,000 decisions on Free?
Your agent keeps getting answers. We never switch decisions off for going over. Settings shows your usage for the month (UTC), so you'll see it coming, and Pro gives you 5 million.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from Manage billing in Settings. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, then move to Free's allowances. Environments you've already made keep working.
Is the engine open source?
Yes. The decision and autonomy engine is earned-autonomy, Apache-2.0. You pay for the hosted API, storage, the admin and billing.
Who's behind it?
Throtl is built by Matt Alcock, who ran experimentation and live-ops for 200M+ players at NaturalMotion and Zynga, and later built an AI agent platform at Plum.
